Workshops and Teaching

Over the past two decades, Miguel Pires has conducted workshops centered on painting and visual experimentation in venues such as Casa da Torre, private studios, and artistic residencies. These sessions are not limited to technique—they create immersive spaces for creative exchange, introspection, and personal expression.
Miguel’s approach emphasizes creation as a process of inner discovery. Techniques like oil, acrylic, gouache, and charcoal are used as expressive tools to explore themes of identity, spirituality, social critique, and collective memory.
These workshops are open to artists of all levels, as well as anyone interested in exploring the visual language of contemporary painting. The atmosphere encourages creative autonomy and fosters dialogue, active listening, and aesthetic experimentation.
